Photographer’s Note
Another shot of Balsa Nova surrounding area. At this time from Ponte dos Arcos (Arcs bridge).
The bridge is formed by cement arcs and it has a beautiful visual but unfortunately that area below is private and there is a sign plate that says "NO TRESPASSING, PLEASE DO NOT INSIST". Well this is the only point of view I could get. :(
After discussion with Floydian, We have agreed that my last post didn't have enough colors (or light). I decided to increase a bit more of that on this one, but still not convinced about the clarity. What you think, Henk? If it's ok, that's for you...if not, I'll try another time :)
Thanks for visiting.
PS: I'm loving the different reactions of people for this one. It's nice to check your tastes and confront them to this untypical work of me. Thanks a lot!

Hi Carlos!
The last one is OK for me and here the light is fine too,but the light green looks a bit oversaturated, but maybe it`s my new screen I have to get used to.
Anyway,Great shot takem from a very good low POV.Amazing depth, and a wonderful partly clouded sky which contrasts very well with this nice landscape.

what I like here very much is the atmospheric light and the colors are vivid but very fresh and nice.
The contrast here is also superb.
The POV is also great,

Very good low POV and composition - there's always something about railway lines that make a good photo!
I think you've gone a bit wild with the saturation, though - making the scene look a little unreal.
Best wishes

Well Carlos, with point-of-view, what more could you have asked for? This is a super shot with the depth of field that catches the eye.The green and blue combination colours and the floating clouds and track just a script a beautiful rustic countryside story. It;s like being sucked into a 3D picture.

Hi Carlos,
Here you go, the comments are there. The people who like this and the ones who don't. That's always the case, nothing to worry about. I have sold these kind of images because the publisher want it like this. It is indeed on the edge, there are some people who don't like it, so be it. If you like it and you can live with it than it's okay.
Maybe the railway is to much, but lowering that means also that you loose colours comparing to the rest of the image. If you go on one part the other part has to follow, it not it looks completly unreal.
You knew on forehand that i would like it, and i do...a lot..!!!
I think that pulling the sliders bring colour and live in to an image. Balancing on the edge of colours and exposure, that's were i balance, everyday and i would not do it different.
Great shot...i really mean that.

Belido,
grande foto.

hehe, i see you really have gone there... pushing 'em sliders ;) i actually like this freshness of green that it has brought about. some might say its artificial, but at least in my world, this kind of light and colors do happen from time to time. especially when the sun comes out after rain. i don't think there was too much interesting detail on the rails so i have no problem with overexposing them and making shiny guiding lines rather than rusty, but detailed rails.
i like the overall mood, friend. let's see your next experiment.

Oi, Carlos,

Victor

Hi Carlos,
Intense vibrant color .. grabs you even form the thumbnail .. I have a few thoughts on this ..
Typically I associate images of old, empty tracks with dark and empty emotions .. it is really interesting to see this scene in particular presented this way ..
On a different tact .. in an internet world where most of our images are approached initially as thumbnails .. and like it or not the vibrancy helps yours leap out at that size ..
you know I used to not be into such vibrant tones as much .. in my part of the world John Fielder: http://www.johnfielder.com/ .. has been one of our leading folks for a generation .. I used to view his stuff as over the top .. but in the last year I have found myself liking this kind of almost over saturation more and more ..
wonderful image.
take care,
John

Hello Carlos,
I can see why your photograph is so popular! It is a fantastic image which looks like a brilliantly stylized, surreal Hollywood image that the film photographers and directors like to experiment with. The composition and POV is fabulous and I love the surreal rendition that you have done here. The 3D perspective and the clouds don't even look real. This is fascinating work!

Hi Carlos,
I missed this one. There is something very surreal in this shot, a strange feeling of distortion in the dimension of the objects... the railway lines so close, penetrating into the landscape, the tiny house on the right, all that green space separated in layers and especially the immense sky... What a great sky! Excellent!
It looks a bit saturated, but maybe this also contributes to the surreal feeling...

Um abraço, José.

Splendid perspective created by three rails expanding toward distance. The white puffy clouds travelling in the blue sky is really pleasant, of course also bright clear green.
