Photographer’s Note
Spring is just round the corner .... spotted this bird (found in abundance) while on my way back to my cottage at Dhikala Forest Rest house at Jim Corbette National park which happens to be one of the first Tiger reserve in India. Having the FRH in middle of jungle gives you plenty of opportunity for sighting different species of birds and animal just within the near vicinity of the Rest House, which otherwise is surrounded by electrified barbed wire to protect the tourist from becoming the usual prey to the natural habitat. If one has to visit this wonderful park, then my suggestion would be to make the trip after April as during summer (so I learned) the whole surrounding becomes so full of life & color that your camera would just fall in love with that place. A must visit if you love jungles.
