Photographer’s Note

This little cottage is situated just opposite St Claude Chapel ( my posting 52). As I walked past after photographing the chapel on all angles, I found this place delightful in its artistic untidiness. The idea of Snowwhite finding the dwarves' cottage in that state came to my mind straight away. I was even invited inside as the occupants were giving me some information about the chapel surroundings, and the cosy cluttered atmosphere was just what I imagined Snowwhite must have found in the dwarves' cottage.
I know it's a pity about the overexposure of some parts, but I still wanted to post it as I found the place exquisite.
In WS, I am adding the photo of the beautiful chapel.

Hi Marie-Louise,

It looks like this cottage has been there for hundreds of years and that you really could expect that snowwhite and the seven dwarves coould turn up here. Very well seen and very nice picture. TFS and have a nice week-end!

Une petite maison en pleine adéquation avec la nature, on pourrait presque la croire abandonner tellement la végétation l'a envahi.
Je me suis permit un WS pour essayer d'atténuer un peu le fort soleil, plus pour l'exercise car à cette taille d'image la qualité se pert un peu.

Des petits penty comme la Bretagne a su en garder, enfouis dans la végétations avec ces petites fenêtres .
je me retrouve dans des coins de mon Finistère. C'est très bien vu, et une bonne idée de se retourner!!

Un petit trésor cette maison entourée de la végétation et de son petit bazar.J'aime beaucoup le rouge de cette porte qui équilibre bien la composition.C'est beau.

C'est vraiment une maison charmante, si typique de la Bretagne.
Le jardin et son côté un peu fou est amusant, on dirait une maisonnette de conte pour enfants.

Bonjour Marie Louise qui est exquise :)
Ce cottage Breton est bien mignon, mais je pense qu'il était possible de sous exposer légèrement par rapport aux valeurs indiqués, mais je ne sais si c'est possible avec ton appareil.
L'essentiel c'est de partager.

Bonjour, Marie Louise.
Voila en effet une maison qui ne deparerait pas dans un conte de fees. Le jardin envahi d'herbes folles foisonne de details frais et agreables et nous laisse devouvrir avec parcimonie la maison, son toit d'ardoises et ses murs de pierres. Un peu dommage que la partie droite du toit soit surexposee, mais c'est vrai que l'ardoise, ca brille au soleil!

tu asociación de esta pequeña casa con Blancanieves es muy acertada, en realidad es la imagen que tenemos de este cuento.
El encuadre es bueno, y la luz, que era difícil, está bien tratada.
Me gustan mucho los vivos colores de tu foto.

La maison vit au rythme du jardin, c'est-à-dire qu'elle ne fait pas de manière ni de sophistication, elle vit sa vie en somme ! Cela donne à l'ensemble un charme particulier.

C'est vrai que cette petite maison fait penser aux 7 nains! Jolie vue aux couleurs naturelles, la surex dont tu parles n'est pas flagrante et l'intérêt est situé plus en bas de l'image... Je note un certain désordre dans leurs bacs a plantes!! C'est Grognon qui a pique une crise?!

On ne peut pas dire que la végétation ne reprend pas ses droits ici... Jolie prise de vue sur cette petite maison au "fouilli" organisé. Les pots de fleurs jaunes et la peinture rouge de l'entré ajoutent une touche de couleur très agréable à la composition, beau coup d'oeil Marie-Louise et merci de nous avoir remis en WS les photos de cette magnifique chapelle qui ne peut pas renier ses origines bretonnes !!!

lovely detail of Snowwhite and the 7 dwarves house front. It seems to me that Snowwhite needs to put a little more effort into the care :-)
The right portion of the rood seems to be on the limit of overexposure. Why not decrasing the exposure to -0.5 or even -1.0?

This charming little cottage needs the firm hand of Cinderella to get those lazy dwarfs to clean this cluttered yard. Wonderful capture of this enchanting scene. There is a similar cottage near my home that inspired me to post as Grandma's house in "Little Red Riding Hood.

I like this work is interesting is beutifule and have wonderful details there, like the beanch hidden and the pots.

Marie-Louise, c'est très difficile de gérer une surexposition après la prise, certains appareils le signalent tout de suite en faisant clignoter les zones surexposées, il faut alors changer les réglages. Ici, c'est dommage parce que le reste de la photo est excellent avec ce désordre qui donne une exubérance pleine de vie. Les couleurs aussi participent à la joie de vivre.

It may have the little problem with the light but you captured the details of the house very well.The pov is very nice and this kind of architecture is really worth a couple of photos.

Nice composition for this wonderfully overgrown cottage. You are right about the over exposure, because other than that, it's well exposed otherwise. Unfortunately, the image does not work if you crop off the over exposed roof, so I feel you have done the best by presenting it as is. Perhaps returning on an overcast day would help

You're right, it does look like a cozy little place. Lot of clutter, and plants seem to be growing all over. The red door is very striking, and sits in contrast with all the green around.

So now I know, my apartment is not a mess; it's artistic untidiness. :)

Very nice, it is nearly perfect MarieLouise. The part of the roof that is too hot is all that detracts for the setting is as you have titled it. Fine job.
