Photographer’s Note

The Church of the Birth of The Holy Virgin in Tarasovo (1 km from Belarussian capital Minsk). Warm morning of the late spring and a natural carpet of flowers. The church is staying on the top of the hill and looks very beautiful.

I like this alot, the flowers add color and patterns to the foreground, very cheerful, I have a preconception of Belarus being a gray, industrial place, this changes that.

Hello Den: I like a lot of things about this photo. Yellow and blue complement each other nicely and I love the curved hilltop/horizon line. I also think you were on your stomach as you took the photo. The architecture of the church make the photo that much more interesting. Great job.

This is a wonderful image and composition, which is enhanced by your excellent POV from amongst the yellow daisies. Although the white church is dominating focal point, the flowers to me are what make this photo attractive. Very well done.

The wide angle has worked really well here also to incluse those fabulous flowers like that in the foreground and spreading all round. Colours are nice and bright and the whole image is clear.

What a beautiful scene, Den.
The depth of field is great, and the flowers and the skye make a great setting for this marvellous white church. Great wide angle shot from an excellent low viewpoint. Well done.
