Photographer’s Note

For past 8-9 months I am in Kolkata. I enjoyed this city a lot. Full of life/motion. Here you can find mix atmosphere of tradition & a metro life. But people are very friendly & helping nature. I went other metro city also but I find this city very close to heart.

I took many shots of this beautiful city. Whenever I go out especially for morning walk (I tried to take my camera so that I can take shots of this beautiful city. My personal gallery is full of images (almost 1 GB but I think that is not even a drop in the sea).

I am transferred to another location and whenever I will be, the days I spend in this city are always in my heart.

This shot I have taken during my morning walk when I found these two morning walker who were walking in opposite direction.

An excellent composition, and the atmosphere is well recorded!
The backlight plays nicely with the moist air, and the contrasty tree trunks stand out so well...

Hello RS,

As I perused your photographs, I noticed in many of them, a characteristic and very compelling common motif — individuals, on or two like this, walking through a dreamlike setting, offering both a scale and a human element. Very good photograph, and a complementary note.

Hi RS,

Your photos offer such a poetic and calm view of what is otherwise a bustling city, I am sure (one of these days I will visit India!).

The framing here instantly draws me to the path and the two figures walking in opposite directions. The fog/haze adds a mysterious element.

Hi srinivasan. Glad to see your shot but sorry to learn that you left this great city. More so when I just returned here after two long decades. Most of such stories remain incomplete due to arrival of one and departure of someone else. Hope I shall try to fill up the gaps left behind.
