Photographer's Note
This scene can be found off of Hwy. 97 driving south from the junction of Biggs and I-84. You will see the windmill farms that stretch for nearly 15 miles back towards the Columbia River behind this scene on a dirt and graveled road. I was fortunate the day of this shoot as the lighting was the absolute best everytime I stopped to capture an image as I had ever encountered. Remember, in the winter the sun seems to be located at a 45 degree angle nearly always to your position through the day's drive as most of the scenes of this trip on TE are taken at a 45 degree angle. At sunset, the sun will be behind you as you stand at the base of the Clarno Fossil Beds Unit, one of three units of the World Famous, John Day Fossil Beds.

A very beautiful landscape, with three layers of different natural environment.
The mountain in the background seems to arise from nothing.

Hello Steven! Beautiful these "golden" hills rolling away until they reach the horizon. It gives me an instant good feeling of something that we do not have where I live ... space, you can breath ... The mountain in the far back seems to float somehow, it has a beautiful shape. Good work, Steven! Barbara.

Hi Steven
wonderful picture, nicely composed with golden fields in foreground. The Mt Adam seems to fly over grey hills. Congratulations.

Hi Steve!
Those mountains are very interesting. The landscape is very beautiful. Likes, the altitude of the landscape rises on the picture. The snowy mountain is the peak of the picture. There is a beautiful transition in the colours. Congratulations.

This one makes me want to run in the fields...the colors are resplendent and I like very much the transition to the sky; Mt. Adams seems like a mountain for the gods, almost floating above it all, to be reached by the brave...Good work Steve!

Hello Steve
The pleasant luminosity is giving nice golden colors to the field which contrast well with the blue sky and mountains are providing a great BG. Good choice of pano format and fine sharpness.
Have a nice day
Marilyn
