Photographer’s Note
Another interesting picture I rediscovered in some old rolls of film.
Japan is not normally a place that people (outside of Japan) would associate with graffiti, and to a limited extent, that's pretty true. There are no shortage of random small marks, and the occasional spray tag, at least in certain parts of Tokyo, but certainly not anything that would compare with the sprawls of urban America.
Which is why, apparently, the city of Yokohama imported taggers from America to decorate this particular strip. I seem to recall a plaque somewhere, but it may have just been the activities of bored sailors from Yokosuka.
Probably the last of the old APS shots I'll be posting. But a unique corner of the world I wanted to share.
