Srirangapatinam is a town of historical significance since this is where Tippu Sultan, Known as the Tiger was killed by the Colonial Forces, The area is lush with vegetation and most people make a living through agriculture and or Tourism.

The boat which is featured in this is known as Parisal which is roughly the same type as the coracle , The boat is round and is made of bamboo and some waterproof materials, The boat man has a single oar with which he pushes the water on one side and the boat moves very very slow. This boat is prone to get stuck in Whirlpools and many accidents have taken place. However for the villagers this is a cheap and easy way to commute.
