Hi Shane,
Wow, great shot! The contrast of the blue sky to the white of the snow is spectacular. A great choice to go with the wide-angle lens also (i presume?). Thanks for sharing,
Jules

Nice, nice, nice! This helps illustrate why trees can be so much more interesting when they are "naked" and then adorned with things other than foliage.

Hello Shane, wow this thumbnail really popped out at me from the main scene, and the full size is no let down either. Could see why the school was shut down, the icy branches tell it all. You got some great controlled lighting here, and the spread of light clouds in the sky helps to keep the effect alive.

Superb, and I mean "S U P E R B" shot Shane!
It takes a strong subject to place it centre-frame, but you've shown us how it's done here. Excellent tonal levels, good sharpness, no noise, love the contrast, and the hint of bluish/grey in the sky really brings it all together nicely.
I'd be proud to say this was my shot (if I were you).
Well done!
- Dan
P.S.- What lens did you use Shane, 17-40mm (or 24-70mm) with a circular polariser by chance?

Hi Shane,
Thanks to this great capture I found your excellent and refreshing gallery. I like this capture because of great POV. It seem like the bluish sky is comming from a tree top or this tree is touching the sky in opposite of others. That makes it special. To be so close to heavenly sky. Beautiful capture!
Kind regards,
Jeri

Hi Shane,
Excellent winter shot ! The composition and your position with a view under the tree to see the sky and give depth is very good.

Hi Shane,
A great example of when a central subject is the correct choice. Nicely controlled exposure on the snow. I bet the web version doesn't look as good as the original does it? I bet it looks awesome in the larger size. The sky is really good.
Cheers!
