Cuban Cars in Full Color Photo

Photographer’s Note

I took this picture on the 31st of December, 2007. The streets were quite in the anticipation of the New Year celebration. I spotted these colorful cars in the downtown of Holguin moving towards me and had only a few seconds to capture them. I was fascinated how Cubans maintain their car and keep them nice and beautiful.

Hi Mikhail,
Cuban cars are a wonderful subject for photographers, because they seem straight out of a museum and have these nice carribbean colors, nice street perspective showing them as stars and your note is right, it requires to be a real artist to maintain a car in such conditions there.
