Photographer’s Note
Sunset on White Beach at Puerta Galera, Philippines. I'm pretty happy with the composition of this photo, the effectiveness of the flash, and the blurred movement of the guy pulling in his boat for the night. Despite the weightiness of the left half of the shot, the off-centered focal point of all the lines gives the horizon a lot of energy. It's much better than a head-on beach shot, I think.

I agree with all the points you make in your note, Kristy, but unfortunately the overall effect is spoilt by the tilted horizon. Cheers . . . David

Humm, Kristy, this is a good composition but its too tender...what I mean to say is that the sharpness is not at its best...the horizon is tilted but can be made out only when one sees it minutely; moreover the man in the frame seems to be lagging energy & looks somewhat stiff which mars the synchronization of the image with its title...
My heartiest wishes for better photography ahead...
