Photographer’s Note

It´s been a while since my last post!
Now I was here looking at some photos around the world and decided to post these old mills.
It was taken in a place that I like a lot. I've been there many many times, and this thime I was lucky with the sky.

The place is called "Portela da Oliveira" and it's between Penacova and Buçaco. Most people come to Buçaco and see the famouse Palace Hotel and only the sorroundings, but as you can see there is much more to see.

Hi Artur,

Yes, lovely light indeed. And nice clouds in the sky. Very earthy tones - I like the effect very much!

Do you know how old these mills may be? I like the stonework.

Hi Artur, nice photo. Nice colors and composition. Very interesting mills. Just to be little picky, it seems on my monitor that the photo could use some sharpening.

Eu gosto desta composição, onde o moinho de vento é colocado exatamente no frame! Cores saturated maravilhosas, detalhes finos a ir com eles...

This one well composed and spectacular landscape with great clouds in the background. Although I have no reason to doubt you, some how it doesn't seem that the lens 18-55 has done the job! as I do possess that lens? Well done

Bonjour Artur,
ce ciel est mon coup de coeur du jour.
Vraiment magnifique et le filtre polarisant a joué son rôle contrastant.
Excellent cadrage pour une belle carte postale de ces moulins portugais.

yes the sky is wonderful; it's almost like the mill is spinning out the clouds. I also like the digonal line of mills marching up the hill.

Olá Artur,
wonderful POV including a row of mills (or the remaining of several). The sky is a great addition and all this in good sharpness and contrasts is very pleasant.

Fine composition Artur - the colours are so natural. The polariser has darked the sky just enough to bring out the clouds. Well chosen POV too.

These Mills are a much photographed subject on TE but you've done them justice here with a wonderfully composed shot. The naturally saturated colours and that wonderful sky pull everything together to make a wonderful image. Nice one!

Hi Artur, i wish i knew about this place, Indeed i miss it when staying at Luso. Pitty!!
Your choice of POV create a lovely scene usig good the mills and the clouds. Lovely color result with the use of a polarizer.
