This beautiful statue of St. Mary stands in the Old cemetery in Trnava. In the background, there is visible one of pillars of a small cemetery chapel. On All saints holiday, people come to cemeteries light candles at their deceased relatives or friends´ tombstones and at the central chapel or cross as well.
The statue of Mary and the surroundings (well, actually the whole cemetery) are lit by the lights of candles only. Very peaceful atmosphere.

There has been some work on this image before posting: significant crop, improving the highlights and separating the background from the statue by lightly blurring the background.
