Hi Dan. I like this shot quite a lot. The b&w works for me and I like how you have balanced the dual subjects. I do wish you had not cropped her foot and it looks to me as though you have been a little too agressive with noise reduction here, but this is a really nice photo overall.

I love the balance in the comp -- the girl, the chair, and the dog seem like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that all fit together perfectly. I just wish it was a bit less cramped. I'd like to see a bit of room on the left and top, and even a bit more on the right hand side. But all in all, a very well-seen shot.

I love this photo!
Smooth image with (especially) an excellent adjustment of contrasts.
It may have been cropped a little less tight at the top & left, but otherwise it's perfect to me! Great work Dan...

Nice balanced exposure for a small digicam. I don't like that you cut off the feet, though.

It's hard to be too critical of the techs on a street shot such as this, after all it's not set up and we don't know what else was around the subject, also you need to move fast. This is just capturing something on the move, which has good photographic appeal, humour, and illustrates the story you tell. However, as the feet seem to distract viewers from the subject perhaps a tighter image might help. I did a quick workshop just to see (hardly state of the art PS work!) and added a black frame. Thanks for your generous comments Dan. I like your portfolio which shows an eye for the unusual view of everyday life.
NB just noticed can't do the workshop but as I say I'm only suggesting crop to the left (losing the feet and the string), a bit off the top, and add a black frame of about 10 pixels.

I was going to comment on your latest shot Dan but was drawn to this one instead. It has great charm and intimacy created by the close PoV and the direct contact with both the young lady and her dog. Her supine almost pre-natal position is nicely restrained by your crop and of course the dog is a bonus.
Great work
