day before yesterday i posted a shot of a farmer warming himself by a fire in his field. this is the portrait of that farmer.

Very nice portrait. The mist or smoke behind the man emphasizes the face so that the man seems to be going to come out of the picture.

Hello Indrajit,
Very good job on your portrait. Normally your composition would not have worked with the subject over on the far left or right hand side of the photo, but it works well here. The different lines of the plowed field and vegetation lead our eyes directly to the subject and his red clothing balances out well with the opposite (color) green vegetation. The rising smoke behind him also adds much interest. Youd did a fine job photographing this hard working man in his environment. Good work!

Indrajit,

This is a remarkable photo. I don't undestand the low points, but that doesn't matter. The clarity, compostion and colors are fantastic. I love this photo, and I would love to return to India again some day.
