Photographer’s Note
This time a complete ger, under a cloudless, blue Mongolian sky. This ger was isolated from the general tourist camps, & is inhabited by genuine Mongolian nomads.

Hello Chris,
A very interesting construction you present us with here. Good point of view with the eye being taken straight to the tent and then the curving valley beyond. Very good colours and clarity.

Hello Chris,
I would guess that this landscape would be covered in a large amount of snow for much of the year, making the lifestyles of the nomads more difficult. The Ger is sitting in an indent as to have a level surface to sleep on. Do you know if this is used once and abandoned or would another family use this spot at differing times of the year? Also, it appears that these people enjoy the isolation and do not live in small communities of tents. The land looks suitable for grazing, but many of your photos show no livestock (perhaps sheep in the distance on the right here?). Anyway, it is a good photo with well managed lighting and good cultural significance. Certainly improving my limited knowledge of the area. Good PP recovery of the cast again.

Hi Chris,
excellent sharp and clear capture with a good choice for the position of the tent and the line the horizon. The wide view shows the absence of others.

Hello Chris! Excellent shot with good theme! I would a lot want to live for little there and to see this improbable life that you see and very beautifully placed! The conditions of course are extreme and difficult and require special knowledge and faculties! In any case I believe you have my sympathy and my thanks!

Hi Chris!
Beautiful capture of this ger, that looks like the last house on the planet, isolated and far from "civilazation"! Great composition, beautiful, blinding colours! Congratulations!

J'aime beaucoup tes images de Mongolie, ce dépaysement, et ces paysages presque déserts. Celle-ci, avec cette yourte, est superbe aussi.

Hello Chris,
So these are the timeless shelters that the Mongolian nomads brave out some of the most hostile climatic conditions on earth. Are they not also called "yurts," a name that I've always connected them with? I don't know the exact derivation of the word, but the Turkish word for "nation" is alos yurt. Very good composition and colors.
Warm regards,
Bulent
