Photographer’s Note

While the city this was taken in is considered Newburyport MA, it's actually on Plum Island, a long skinny island that borders northeast Massachusetts. The northern end of the island is covered in beach homes while the southern end is a nature refugee.

Hi Kallie,
My husband used to summer on Plum Island. Nice color in this photo of the sea gull on the broad golden sand beach with the lifeguard in the BG has a real Plum Island feel.

Hi Kallie,
This image brings me back to my distant youth when I spent summers on Cape Cod. Wonderful blue sky to contrast nicely with the sandy beach. The gull coexists remarkably well with us humans as they scour the beach for their daily fare.
