Photographer’s Note
The Cincinnati Art Museum is one of the oldest art museums in the United States. Founded in 1881, it was the first real art museum west of the Alleghenies. Its 60,000+ work collection make it one of the most comprehensive collections in the Midwest.
In 1993, a $13 million project restored the interior architecture and uncovered long-hidden architectural details.
I had previously shot this staircase, but backlighting from a sunlit window hosed up the shot. A second floor overlook provided a much better vantage point.

Hello Greg,
This is an exceptionally good interior shot using the interior lighting system of the building. The short but informative note is excellent. I knew very little about the history of the Cincinnati Art Museum.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hi Greg!
Photographing architecture is very difficult one seldom gets a clean view without any disturbances. You have captured these stairs in a wonderful way light and colors are also very good.
Best regards from
