Photographer’s Note
View of the Hudson Bay mountains, on the west side of Yellowhead Highway 16, just north of the town of Smithers. Being the midway point between Prince George and Prince Rupert on the coast, Smithers has an inordinate amount of services available. This is attributable to the relative remoteness of the Yellowhead Highway itself, which runs East/West bisecting the province. There is also a fair amount of agriculture in the area, as evidenced by the bales of hay in the foreground.
During autumn, the aspens turn a brilliant yellow and serve as a nice contrast to the mountainous terrain in the area.
