Morning Shower ? Photo

Photographer’s Note

When seeing the featured theme of today about clouds, I decided to post this view of the Lago Nordenskjol, in Torres Del Paine. You can see the very strong wind creating a kind of moving shower for the trekkers passing next to the shore.

Hi Bruno,
a pic that shows the power of nature. I estimate the wind speed at 100 km/h in the zone where water is blown off. Great capture.

What an amazing scene. Amazing cloud formations combined with the mist/shower across the centre of the image gives an 'other world' feel to the picture. There is a huge amount of detail retained in the cloud although this has been at the expense of very dark foreground and hills to the left.
There are pro's and con's to that. The lack of detail in those areas does help concentrate the viewer on the clouds etc, but also make the foreground a bit heavy.

Hi Bruno i've never seen something like this. Amazing view and dificult conditions to photograf with the strong reflecting light on the water! A polarizer will realy helpd here. You did a great job.
To dicrease the strong light i did a WS on it. Hope you like it.

Beautiful composition again, contrast, a sense of natural motion.

Bonjour Bruno,

La Patagonie est connue pour ses changements météorologiques virulents ( on peut connaître les 4 saisons ( des régions tempérées ) en une journée ).
Non seulement le vent est fort mais on peut aussi voir un magnifique nuage lenticulaire ( en haut à gauche ).
Photo impressionante.
