Photographer’s Note

While on a usual return trip from my university to my house, I encountered several days ago this fallen road sign, so yesterday I took my camera with me, and in my last six shots I spent one for this sight.
The sign fell certainly due to corrosion, because the tube used to sustain it is just that, a tube, and also because the sea is so close, I'd say some 50m away, therefore the marine aerosol with chlorine ions did the job. And broke at its weakest point.
The sign reads "Curva Peligrosa" (English: Dangerous Curve Ahead"). It is really big, made to warn drivers, specially at night. It is even bigger than those recommended by the traffic rules in Peru —so no one misses it. (So its own weight helped in its way to the ground).
Many other signs can be seen here, though depicted small.
An extra here is that it can be observed that Lima is in a desert. The plants on the ground are watered every other day by a truck, everything else is as shown here: nothing green.
A little PP in PS.
Shot in Auto mode with -1/2 exposure compensation dialed in.
