Photographer’s Note

My previous post was intended as the last one from Scotland, but then I realised I had 13 posts in my travelogue and in the UK, 13 is considered to be an unlucky number. Of course I’m not superstitious!;D

Percentage-wise, the few days spent in Scotland yielded the biggest proportion of useable images of anywhere I’ve been. I think it was because of the incredible light and of course, the beautiful scenery, so it didn’t take me long to find my last final post from there.

Here is Glen Lyon again, and taken at the same time as this one. The standing stone was behind me here. You can see how narrow the road is, and when you realise we drove in front of this mountain, you can also imagine how it bends. It’s just as well the road was extremely quiet in this loneliest of Scotland’s glens. You can also glimpse the River Lyon.

EDIT
Dominique was missing a piper. If you would like to listen to the bagpipes click here Just choose a tune by clicking a green circle. Auld Lang Syne is played at midnight on New Year's Eve to pipe in the New Year, although it's a bit late for that now.
