No, they don't show 'The Shining' again!!!...
The Siam Center, a typical Asian shopping mall, has, on its top floor, a couple of huge movie theaters...
Here is the waiting hall of one of them. The floor, collumns and specially a huge metallic globe on the roof was giving crazy reflexions... I managed reasonable sharpness, hand held at 1/13s...

Le Siam Center a Bangkok, un immense centre commercial, typiquement Asiatique, a deux immenses cinémas multiplex au dernier étage. Cette photo est prise dans la salle d'attente(ils ne vous laissent pas faire la queue dehors, la bas!) le sol, les colonnes, tout est étincelant, mais surtout le plafond est un globe géant donnant des réflections spectaculaires...
J'ai eu la chance d'obtenir une netteté presque acceptable au 13eme de seconde...

Super ce jeu avec les reflets. Les affiches apparaissent trois fois. Une bien bonne ambiance moderne prise. Avec la grande ouverture, tu as un résultat très satisfaisant.

Sympa comme salle d'attente! les réflexions sont bien saisies et j'aime tout particulièrement celles du globe. C'est dommage que la colonne de droite ne soit pas placée entre les deux affiches, mais peut être que ce n'était pas faisable.
Au fait, c'était un bon film?

Olá Laurent, this is quite a creative work. We never went up there and I was afraid of getting lost in these huge spaces and not finding the way out ;-) Very good capture of the reflections dominating the image and nice situation of the people on the coachs unaware of the danger above them.

En fait il semble très asiatique. Le cadrage et la lumière est très admirable. Tous ces surfaces, ses reflets et les couleurs des affiches et des sofas donnent une image très forte visuellement. Il est aussi intéressant de voir les personnes et ses différents poses.

A great title for a well seen shot. I love the distorted reflections on the ceiling and the smooth reflections on the floor in this metalic world. The couples and people all sitting in different position doing differnt things is wonderful and they give a good idea of how huge the columns and posters are.

Très très intéressant ! Le Siam Centre est un des plus anciens "shopping centre's" de luxe (déjà là il y a 30 ans ou même avant !), je suppose que ces cinémas sont des rajoutes récentes et tu as eu une excellente idée de nous montrer ceci, qui démontre le côté "sophistiqué" et moderne de cette métropole, qui a tant de facettes différentes...
Belle photo, j'admire beaucoup !

Excellent photo of a very surreal place. You must have very steady hands - even with a wide lens, 1/13 is good going. I like the reflections and mirror images - though people look few and far between! Nice image. Regards, Paul.

did the polish the place for your appearence? Man, is that shiny! You managed the handheld with a decent sharpness quite well. With all the shiny I'm quite suprised that it is such a dark place. I mean ISO 400, f/3.5 at 1/13s means a lot of light sucking in to the sensor.

Interesting...two reflections of different types, one plain, the other distorted & the posters sandwiching them both. Sharpness is good...so you too have steady hands! ;-). Must have been darkish inside considering the ISO, the aperture & the ss. Good work!

Sachant que tu es de nature hyper Zen, tu n'as pas besoin de tripode et le 400 D est assez léger à manier.
Je note un bon piqué au niveau de la netteté est les couleurs sont belles.

Wonderful picture with amazing reflections not only on the top but also on the floor. Great colors and sharpness, your POV is very good. Maybe a little tilted to the right but it doesn't bother your composition.
