Photographer’s Note

Here's a shot of the waterfront in Venice. It's taken from St. Marks square again and shows the gondolas at rest.
For me, this view typifies Venice. Even though the place is absolutely heaving with tourists, it still retains some serenity and dignity.

Color of sea and the boats are fantastic. Good composition. I also like place of the moon.

Beautiful evening light and great atmosphere. I like the blue covers of the gondolas – and the rhytm of the poles as well.
I would crop quite a lot from the top.

Great evening lighting in the background and the moon adds a nice touch. Good foreground subject too; however, it would have been nice to have more light on the boats, but I suppose then you would sacrifice the quality of the light in the background
