Photographer’s Note
These are three massive rocks high above the village of Baslow Derbyshire,They were engraved with the names of Nelsons flagships during the Battle of Trafalgar in the early 1800,s.
The names are: Victory,Defiance, and Royal Soverin.
I know Royal Soverin has been misspelt but that is how it is spelt on the rock.If you type it into Google it will take you to a website with more info.
Also in front of the rocks is a memorial of a flag post
made of concrete also erected in 1805 to comemorate Nelsons victory
