Photographer’s Note
Located on the shores of Loch Awe, Portsonachan is a small village pretty much known for one thing - the Portsonachan Hotel. The location is quite convenient – the picturesque Kilchurn Castle is only 14 minutes by car. You can easily get to Highlands border and the Isle of Mull.
Whilst on a brief visit to Portsonachan, I stumbled upon the remains of anold jetty. The image shows how the camera interpreted low light through long exposure. It was still too early for a 30 second exposure to produce the desired effect ‘still waters’ effect. The photo came out overexposed so I ended up taking another 4 slightly underexposed pictures and merging them afterwards.
