My girlfriend took this in Wakayama prefecture on her visit to Japan last year. I was struck by the image and chose to give it "a little help."
The green haloing effect is attained by duplicating the image layer, colorizing the new top layer to monochrome green, gaussian blurring the top layer sufficiently--lightening and desaturating--and finally blending the layers with overlay. |

Good post pro on a great capture. I would say that the green haloing effect is really working. Well done you and your girlfirend. Thats what I would call a great team effort :)
