Day 9: Crystal, CO, USA

It’s quite a change as you drive from Utah to Colorado – Southern Utah is desert-like and you can drive for hours without seeing anybody. Colorado has much more people but the biggest difference is in scenery – mountains, lakes, and green colour! Before my trip I got to know webpage dedicated to ghost towns in the US (Ghost Town Gallery) and when I saw a picture of this mill I knew I had to see it on my own.

This Lost Horse Mill is located in vicinity of ghost town of Crystal. You can get there by 4WD or by walking – I hiked and the scenery was just amazing all along the way. I kick myself for not bringing my tripod with me – could have used it to get that blurry effect on the water.

Dia 9: Crystal, Colorado, Estados Unidos

Hi Marko,

Nicely composed image with excellent daytime color. I like the rustic look of the subject you chose and the power of the flowing water.

Cheers!

Hi Marko. I can certainly see the attraction of this place. Wonderful scene and well captured. You have handled the exposure perfectly to get so much detail throughout the scene, especially in the waterfall. Nice work and thanks for sharing.
All the best for Oh Eight, Paul.
