Bravoo..the first sunrise of the year..this is the post ive been waiting for..not many from Japan who post...but will settle for this one....like the light around this place..good useof the elements with the right perspective...youve managed the saturation of red well enough to give the compo enough depth....overall a gof photojob..like it ;)

And Happy New Year, to you back, Tony!! (though a tad late..lol) The good folks on the monitor squad seemed to think my New year's photo was excessively post processed and pulled it. Appreciated the critque, though. This is one of your signature shots, too. Beautiful!! I love the lines of color in the foreground and the shot is nicely set off by the foliage on the left. Love the strong sunset colors, their reflection creating nice layers on the water surface. The silhouetted hills in the far are providing a nice BG with the setting sun behind it.

A GORGEOUS sunset! Great reflections in the water, too, and that post in center right helps balance the scene. It looks like have a bit of artifact at the edge of the trees, something that a little PP could take of.
