Photographer’s Note
i visited lahore sometime ago, carrying my beloved film camera with me, the Nikon FM3a...
i had long been wanting to photograph the Badshahi Mosque as well as the neighboring Shahi Qilla (Royal Fort)...
upon seeing the architecture of the Mughal era, one gets astonished at how well they managed their sewerage and drainage system, and how accurate the geometry was back in those days when there weren't any CAD softwares etc...
in this photo, the Badshahi Mosque is right behind the Fort itself... parts of the Shahi Qilla and Mosque recently underwent some renovation... though to my dismay, the places are now being used to hold fashion shows and concerts...
i was using an ISO 400 film and since i was losing the light fast, i knew i had to base the tripod on a steady base to nail this one right... i was using a 28mm wide angle lens :)
this is the original composition, no cropping, no fancy stuff, except an added layer containing a film filter using Alienskin Exposure Ver 2. :)
thanks for viewing, let's see what you think of this one :)

Hey Muhammad,
A great BW photo with a nice motive in the background, good perspective and composition with the bridge in the foreground. Nice tones. The photo as a whole gives an archaic impression.
I like it.
Enjoy

Very timeless in the low key B&W you used here. Having the bridge in the foreground gives both depth and a leading line in the form of the road to the fort that guides us towards the fort. But maybe the bridge is a bit dominating.
