Photographer’s Note
I noticed many monarch butterflies at Quabbin Reservoir during fall. I was able to snap a few frames, this is one of the better ones.

i am sort of confused whether the butterflies are lost in the beautiful scenery or not..i notice them because of the bright red color, but i loose them when i see the rest of the picture..which on the onset, is beautiful Michael

Beautiful composition with this choice of focusing on the ground ! A beautiful perspective and a nice effect for our eyes to look from the butterflies to the hill in the background. Very nice tones and contrast to give beautiful details of this landscape. Very well done !

You did a splendid job, Michael, of capturing that fleeting moment in the meadow. Your composition is enhanced immeasurably! Great photo.

The blow of a butterfly wing can change the course of history. Your butterflies have such a strong presence in a so large space.
