Photographer’s Note
Here is one more picture for my photo album "Moscow at night", which I took recently right before Catholic Christmas with one of my client from Texas, USA, and I have another title to this picture "Heart of Orthodoxy before Catholic Christmas" :-). Moscow is very festive during current winter holidays, a lot of garlands, illumination and Christmas decorations. If I will have a chance to make a picture of our Christmas trees during this holidays I will definitely show you the best one because of all my recent clients told me that they are different and very attractive with colorful illumination.
The Kremlin of Moscow is stronghold of the city; it is historical center and heart of Russia. Till end of 15th century most of the city had been inside the Kremlin walls, but from the reign of famous grand duke of Moscow Ivan III "The Great" (grandfather of first Russian tsar Ivan IV "The Terrible") the Kremlin became the official Tsars residence with just several most powerful nobles and a head of the Orthodox church, who lived inside. Italian architects built the present Kremlin fortifications at the end of the 15th century. Moscow Kremlin fortress was one of the most fortified in Europe, even more than the ones in Milan and Krakow.
This picture I took using a telephoto lenses and a fence of Patriarch bridge (which leads to cathedral of Christ the Savior)instead of tripod :-)

Hi Arthur,
This is a superb night scene of the Kremlin. Exposure is ideal and the colors are quite good. I am impressed that this image was taken without a tripod - sturdy hands you have. Happy new year and looking forward to seeing more night shots from Moscow. Danilo

Bonjour Arthur,
je ne peux que tu féliciter pour la qualité extrème de cette photo , une netteté incroyable et une capture de nuit , des lumières artificielles, vraiment impecccable.
Le cadrage laisse aussi rêveur.
Du tout bon boulot.

I like the exposure and the colors of this photo. And certainly the place :) It's a pity that due to the size limitations there are visible compression artifacts, but the photo looks great anyway.
To all people who wonder how it was possible to take such a shot without a tripod - just read the photographer's note once again.

Arthur
Originale et très belle vue nocturne de Moscou. La photo est magnifiquement exposée et d'une netteté incroyable et les guirlandes apportent leur petit plus. Beau travail!

Beautiful night photo, again I admire the way you shoot with such light - personally I even prefer your recent photo of the red square because it is more "personal" IMO, but I am not surprised that this one has more success...
You were replying to another critique of mine that your aim (for the photo of one of the 7 sisters) had been to try to make a sort of "postcard", but I generally prefer photos of people in their context - still, this one is admirable too !
TFS,
Happy New Year !

This is an excellent night shot! The exposure is just right, giving some really good colours and you have great detail visible also. Nice positioning, including the reflection off the water. Excellent!
