An apartment block overlooking the Bassin du Commerce in Le Havre on a pleasant winter's day.
Le Havre is situated in Normandy in northern France where the River Seine spills out into the sea. An important port, Le Havre was once the home of the great Atlantic ocean liners such as the France and the Normandie. Heavily bombed in the second world war, it's large scale reconstruction in concrete by the architect Auguste Perret was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005. |

I like this upfront way of taking architectural pictures. Here the light is good to providing a neccessary high contrast. The man walking along the street adds a human presence that lifts the picture a lot. The red santa is also a nice detail that brings some extra life.
everything seems very balanced in this photo, it is also fairly explaining first of all we see different lifestyles the ones who do not have to pay a big money for rent. I like to see the cars parked this provides a more accurate and neat result
