Photographer's Note
On Manly Beach, a half-hour ferry ride from Circular Quay in Sydney, there is a shallow pool at the very far end of the beach, close to the cliff. I fell for the composition of blue pool, blue sky and yellow signs, with the hugging lovers (one of them wearing red) in the background. Most of all, I found the signs funny. I'm not sure whether the top one means that you can fall into the pool or over the railing into the sea? Maybe it just means slippery surface? The bottom one took me a while to figure out until I noticed that the poor guy is actually diving in, not trying to make an underwater handstand. Do not dive, I guess it means.

I like the shot and the light, except the shadow on the left. Difficult to avoid it, I imagine.

Interesting angles, especially of the fence. Great clouds and sky colour!
The signs mean - top - waves can sweep you off your feed (at high tide the edge of the pool is often covered), and - bottom - don't dive in - water is shallow and you will hit your head on the bottom!
I don't think there are any international standards for these - just Aussie improvision, though you certainly see the the no diving one quite a lot around Sydney.
