The house in the background is the 'Boathouse'. Dylan Thomas lived here from 1948 - 1952. He mentions the house and the estuary of the river Taf in a number of his poems including 'Poem on his Birthday'.
In the mustardseed sun,
By full tilt river and switchback sea
Where the cormorants scud,
In his house on stilts high among beaks
And palavers of birds
This sandgrain day in the bent bay's grave
He celebrates and spurns
His driftwood thirty-fifth wind turned age;
It was a cold November day when we visited Laugharne, I was taken by the contast of the red hulled boat and the grey sky. |

Nice image, you are right the contrast between the boat and the grey background is nice and pleasant, excluding the arch of the more grey in the sky the image is good and I like it, compliments Pete.
