Photographer’s Note
I caught a glimpse of this as I paddled by. I was careful not to disturb it and cause the water to fall off the web, yet at the same time I wanted to capture the spider. Each time I got the camera where I could see the spider it would back up a little to hide itself.
This is my favorite shot of the trip. I loved how this lens rendered the background almost completely undistinguishable.
