Photographer’s Note

Also a picture from this historic last Saturday here in the Netherlands. It was one of the most beautiful (winter)days I've ever witnessed. It was a great pity that I had other obligations in the morning when everything was even more beautiful than when finally I found the time to go out. There were loads of people on the roads taking pictures. This is one of the last shots I took that day. The sun was just really coming through and the ripe was melting away. That's partly why I called this picture 'here comes the sun'. The other reason is that when I was taking pictures at this spot I just couldn't get the song out of my head. I thought that there was no one around so I sang it out loud and got carried away with it ;) Of course there was someone after all which was really embarassing.
The path between these rows of trees connects two scenic areas: the Liberation woods and Kardinge.

Hello Josien,
Nice picture where you feel the cold just by looking at these high trees completely frosted.
Nice double diagonal which take you at the end of the photo.
It is funny to imagine you singing loudly... and I think the person who heard you had fun too :)

Excellent shot, Josien! Great composition and the light is fantastic. I am sure it would have been even better earlier, but that's life, eh? We can't always be at the right place at the right time, more's the pity.

That just seems to go on for ever and ever! What a great point of view. Very nice!! Love it that the sun already melted away a bit of snow on the ground, but the trees are still so white. Nice one.

Hoi Josien,
Op het juiste moment op de juiste plaats!. Het oude hek geeft een extra element aan het landschappelijk karakter. Interessant in de foto vind ik de diagonale en verticale lijnen. Misschien zat er nog meer in door de diagonale lijnen van het bevroren kanaal iets uitdrukkelijker te laten terugkomen do0r een ander standpunt (naar voren?). Hoe dan ook ook nu een lust voor het oog een kalenderfoto voor de maaand januari

Een sterke foto! goede tijdstip van de dag.
Met de opmerking van Koopman ben ik het eens, je had een ander standpunt kunnen nemen,iets naar voren waardoor alles nog krachtiger lijkt.

Hij is prachtig Josien.
ook van dat prachtige rijp in de bomen. de compositie die je hebt gemaakt is prachtig. Zelf.... persoonlijk dus, zou ik een crop maken bij de eerste boom links want deze staat er toch half op. Ik zou tussen de eerste en de tweede de crop maken. Ik vind hem verder zeer fraai. uitstekend werk Josien.

Hier stond ik ook, zelfde dag, zelfde plek, misschien een uurtje eerder. Zijn wij elkaar niet tegengekomen?
Heb dus ook dezelfde foto, maar dan in giga panorama formaat met een veel weidser blik naar rechts en de molen meer in het beeld.
Goh, ik krijg concurentie in mijn eigen regio...geweldig..!!! ;-))))
Vind hem mooi, die bomen zijn weer fotogeniek he, heb je uitstekend gebruik van gemaakt.

Prachtig perspectief je hebt gecreerd met deze diagonale lijn. De kleuren zijn ook geweldig in deze evenwichtige compositie. Alleen op mijn scherm lijkt het een beetje onscherp. Ik heb een ws gedaan om het scherper te krijgen.
