I love watching the morning mist slowly burn off. In this case, I had been photographing the sunrise through the mist, took a break and then found that the mist was catching the last little hint of magenta as it burnt off around this island.

I am a finalist in a national photo contest. Please vote for my image of a boxing champion at the following link: http://ponds-wyndham.fotosource.com/contest_winners.html

PP: I did some local contrast work as well as some global contrast work with curves. Finally I had to reduce some of the noise I had created through the earlier PP work.

Hi Josh
Beautiful place with the fog. Great colours.
Regards

P.S. This one should be the finalist in the contest...

Hello Josh,

A compelling shot, where you've captured the well-defined "edge" of the mist. Warm regards and Seasons' Greetings,

Bulent

Hello Josh,
Perfectly timed shot of this mist crossing the beautiful lake. Brilliant natural colors of decent clarity and presented well in this aspect ratio. I like it!

A great spot to be in the early morning.Peaceful and relaxing, especially if you are in a canoe:-)I've added a workshop version simply to offer a different way of appreciating the small attractive island.

Hi Josh,
Nice work capturing the morning mist and good luck in the contest. It looks like an interesting site.
Wishing you health, love & joy in the coming year,

Nice depth effect with the fog curtain.
Soothing to think of summer ...
Best wishes,

Lovely image of the lake and land with the added fog/mist. I might prefer a squarer format as for me there is to much water so I would crop the bottom quite a lot. However thats down to personal taste, it is a very attractive photo.
