Hello Matt,

I actually very much enjoy this photo; perspective is good with an attractive ratio of FG, a feature middle ground and a great dark sky as the backdrop. I really do look forward to the day where I can shoot nicely lit images when outlined against a thickly clouded sky, some of the best photographs are taken this way. Good sharpness, I love the inclusion of the faint rainbow above the orange rock.

Hello, Matt, welcome to TE!

A very nice shot, with good light capture. At first I was going to say it was too evenly balanced, but then I discovered the rainbow, which shifts the weight of the sky. I think a little PP would make it stand out some more.
