NYC? That is strange. Interesting that you looked for a Buddha in that jungle, so far away from their home...It's a funny comparison and again, a very original post and pictures. Being Chinatown, the Buddha had to be something kitch and your disco title made me smile. Nice creative image from chinatown as well.

Le cadrage qui pourrait paraître incomplet est bon, parce qu'il donne la force des lignes et du modelé de cette statue. J'aime bien, c'est haut en couleurs et parfait.

New York ? C'est vrai, là tout est possible.
C'est une bonne prise de cette image de Buddha dans un plan fermé et avec un grand travail avec la lumière, les ombres et les couleurs, qui donnent un graphisme excellent à la composition.

Yeah, i would not say that those neon lights belonged to a temple, and would not guess that a Buddha looking so nastily would be placed in a temple.
Great colors and textures, perfect exposure and interesting crop. The red color adds a lot for color balancing in the compo.

Le rendu de cette photo a quelque chose de particulier comme une grande douceur qui associé à ces tons chaud donne une très belle photo. C'est assez étonnant de rechercher des bouddha à NY mais bien vu en tout cas.

looks like copper? Strange light, disco is a good relation according to the workshop. I like the good usage of light and reflections for the surface and structure. The presentation with a cropped view helps to put the attention to something else as only the portrait itself.

Elle me fait sourire... :-) On dirait que tu t'as trompé dans la série et as mis une photo des Himalaias à NY. Une façon intéressante de lier tes deux séries! La lumière et la netteté sont très bien et l'expression de la statue est au même temps respectueuse mais aussi ironique, avec le regard en bas et les formes un peu féminins, spécialement des lèvres; pas complètement originale, je sais, car quelques fois on peut voir ça aux 'génuines' aussi.

Hello, Stephane -

I am intrigued by this one. The colors are strong, but they work. Certainly the arcs and the splotch do much to balance the photo, which follows the portrait rule of putting one eye on the center line.
