it was a night like no other.
I´ve been to the wasserkuppe mountain, the highest one of the low mountain range Rhoen with 950 m.
A friend told me about the high polar light activity.
So I arrived at 22:30 at the hilltop.
In the distance I saw a shimmering light.
It seems to be grey and there was no moon so it has to be completely dark.
All of a sudden, a red glow appears and increases to a bright cloud of light.
It was so great. So breathtaking.
Enjoy this moment with me.
The Picture is a scan from a slide.

Hello Jeurgen
A remarkable celestial pheneomenon...it must have been a fascinating experience seeing it for the first time..reading the narrative almost reminded me of some alien activity from X-Files..interesting capture and well presented..what you could have done is left the shutter open..the stars could worked a pattern against the glow of white light..
Overall a perfect TE package
Seasons Greetings :)
Cheers
