This Lenne, Schmallenberg, and the main church in the parish, already mentioned 1221 as a chapel. On the stone in front of the church is written:
”Sorgt Ihr, die Ihr noch im Leben steht, daß Frieden bleibe”
(“Ensure you, who are still living, that peace remains”)
You can read more about Lenne here (in German).
Merry Christmas to all of you! |

Hej Gunnar,
A very fine composition with clear and pleasant colours. Nothing to do about the grey sky.
God jul,
Gert
Hello Gunnar,
A good composition of this church and it's memorial stone. I like the point of view and the framing from the trees. The soft green tones of the vegetation make a good foil for the predominant whites of church and sky. Very good clarity. A Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Hallo Gunnar!
Also a suitable picture to these days ...
You show us a special place which truly radiates calm and peace. I like the buildup of this one very much!
A Merry Christmas to you and your family, or better "Frohe Weihnachten!"
Greetings from cold Siegen!
Frank
Hello Gunnar,
A lovely peaceful composition, just right for the time of year.
The eye travels smoothly from the memorial, up the roof and spires, to give a pleasing perspective.
I think I can see some colour lurking in that pale sky.
I have tried a WS for you.
Merry Christmas!
Peter.
Hej Gunnar,
Vackert och stämningsfullt foto. Man blir nästan rörd.
Hälsningar

Nice setting of the church and foreground memorial Gunnar, good use of the trees at each side.
A merry christmas to you and your family
