This is the end of the story called "How I wanted to see on of the most beautiful bridges in the world".

The facts about The Forth Railway Bridge / though I haven't seen it

The bridge is regarded to be engineering marvel. It is 2.5 km (1.5 miles) in length, and the double track is elevated 46 m (approx. 150 ft) above high tide.
Construction of an earlier bridge, designed by Sir Thomas Bouch, got as far as the laying of the foundation stone, but was stopped after the failure of another of his works, the Tay Bridge. On Bouch's death the project was handed over to Sir John Fowler and Sir Benjamin Baker, who designed a structure that was built by Sir William Arrol's company between 1883 and 1890.

Hi!
I like pictures with objects in the fog. Thats like japanese art. Fog hide details, so let a room for fantasy. Your photo is good, however, I dont get that feeling abot "going to nowhere"... May be You should try from different angle or something to deliver exactly that feeling!
Keep shootin'! ;)

Hi Romana,

A bit of a spooky bridge in the fog, and I like the way you've captured this. Good point of view, well done1

Greetings, Nel

Hi Romana,
the fog makes the mystical atmosphere, you have chosen an overwhelming perspective, well done !
Regards, Michael

Romana,
an interesting shot using a minimalsitic approach. Well, I guess that with that thick fog you didn't have a lot of other options, right? Anyway, good symmetric composition and the fog certainly provides a good atmosphere to this architectural marvel.
Happy New Year!
Peter

Hi Romana,
donīt be sad, that you havenīt seen it clearly...I think Iīve already seen pictures of this bridge, and with this one my fantasy builds it up even more beautiful. Great photo, I like the mist and the perspective, too!
Cheers Christian

Hello Romana,

I like a lot this shot playing with the fog to show the beauty of the metallic bridge.
The final photo is really graphical and the contrast going lower on the background provides the feeling of deepness.
I am convinced this photo is much better than the one you could have got with a better weather.

Yves.

Hi Romana,
Looking through your gallery I thought this one really stood out with its strong sense of perspective and mysterious misty atmosphere. I agree with some of the others that the fog really does enhance the picture and the result is probably better than what you would have got on a clearer day.
I've done a mini-workshop as I wondered what it would look like if it was a bit more symmetrical. I'm not sure whether you intended it to be exactly symmetrical (it's quite hard to achieve in-camera if your camera doesn't have 100% coverage), but anyway it's just an idea. Hope you don't mind!
John

This picture reminds me of old World War 2 movies. Very simple but incredibly effective. Nice one!

A real ghostly feel to this a nice shot.
Cheers Mick.
