Hi Mimi,
I like your point of view here and the off centre positioning of the man. He has a great smile. Good clarity too. A lovely happy image.

Hi Mimi - the aerial perspective from the dock works well here, capturing this very happy fellow. At first glance, might have guessed he was a fisherman with a huge load of a catch, but alas, no nets of fish in the boat with him so... :) This really leaps out at you, especially his V signal, very impactful.

I usually don't like the posed portraits of the guys showing either a churchillian victory mark or the usual James Bond crossarmed, holding a gun attitude (a filipino special, I noticed) but on this one, the combination of the cheer up guy, the grey-brownish array of colors and the very dynamic composition, altogether scores a point for the photo.
This guy epitomizes the 3 billions or more V signs printed each year in the world, like a cultural hommage to the friendly non-and-never-will-be-photographer people taken in everyday in photo, by us photo-cognoscentii.
What omes to mind with India : the Taj Mahal, the Bengal tigers, the Himalaya mountains, the Shiva temples, the Mahatma and the V sign people.

Mimi, in the very early ages of TrekEarth, gosh that might be centuries ago, you gave me the Internet address of a very interesting website collecting various sounds of the world, like markets, jungle, etc. which could be downloaded for private use.
do you still have that website address and could you please forward it me. Many thanks.
