Photographer’s Note

Starý Jičín Castle, a fortress from the beginning of the 13th century, was founded on the Starojický hill by Arnold of Hückeswagen. After the owners built a new castle nearby, the old place was abandoned and in the 19th century, it became a ruin. The castle tower has been reconstructed recently and offers an exhibition about the history of the castle and a collection of historical weapons.
