Photographer’s Note

The Malayan tiger is in a perilous but not hopeless state. The endangered species needs ample land, food and protection to flourish. The Malayan tiger was given “totally protected” status in 1976 – it could be hunted as a game species prior to that. But 30 years later, it remains in a perilous state.

Nice tiger shot, good pov and composition, as I can see his foot is in motion and there is a slight blur, otherwise your focus on its face is sharp. Well done. TFS this shot.

Hello Jusni,
last summer, I saw a tiger for the first time in my life. It was in a zoo here in Canada. I was impressed at how big it is and how strong it looks. Its howling is terrifying! Your picture represent well the feeling I had seeing it. It think it is quite a bit blurry though. Furthermore, I would like a closer view...just a bit closer

Excellent capture and framing. You have captured the moving of the body but yet the beautiful head is so sharp and clear. The framing also gives great balance to the photo giving space for the tiger to wander! Good work!

Hello Jusni,
I love big cats, especially jaguars and tigers. Tigers are magnificient beasts and interestingly enough tigers and jaguars are the only felines in the world who feel at home in the water. I am sure that this Malayan Tiger spends much of his time (this looks like a male to me) in the water. You caught this tiger in a great pose which captures the intensity and intelligence of this beautiful cat. Beautiful work!
