[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
We are not in Russia, but in the heart of Istanbul, a Russian priest reciting his prayer in russian loudly. The atmosphere is exactly what one would expect from and old orthodox church, with subdued lights, icons candles, smoke and an assistance of faithful who didn't look like people we see in the adjacent streets, mainly poor people I would say, many old women who were waiting hours before the ceremony started ? Why were they here ? it was just a week day not even a Sunday, but it happened to be St Andreas day, and so is the name of this small shrine which is almost century old, and nothing has been rearranged since: I imagine that these mostly old folk , some speaking russian and some greek, were prepared for this event, and perhaps hoped that the prayers would make their lives easier.

Merhaba Izzet bey,
dini merasimden fevkalâde bir resim. Resiminiz yüzyillarca dogu hiristiyanlarin merkezi olan Bisans'in bakiyesi gösteriyorsunuz. Karanliktaki kiliseyi, aydin mum alevlerini ve altini, papazin ifadisini cok begeniyorum.
Selamlar,
Roland

bonjour izzet,
excellent portrait de ce pretre orthodoxe en train de prier,l'environnement baroque est tres bien restitué par les couleurs dorées et les diverses sources lumineuses.

Dear Izzet bey
A stunning masterful portrait work as your usual. The mood and the ambiance are great helpfull here to give a certain misticism. Best regards and iyi pazarlar efendim ihsan

Hello izzet. Also the today's photo is again protruding and worth seeing. Photographically a maximum performance. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Hello Izzet Bey,
The photo is textbook, with the sharpness and details, (truly impressive by the way, as one can almost count the strings on his beard.) on the subject and the blurred background not steling anything. Eh, Anyless would probably not be expected. Thye colors allover truly reflect the oldness and a sense of mysticism. The priest though does not seem very happy to be portraited.
I wish you an excellent week.
Best personal regards. Salvator.

Good Evening Izzet. After reading your comments on this photo I had to wonder about the many reasons why the human heart prays to an Almighty God for reasons other than to have an easy life. I am sure the answer would bring a plethora of answers because many come to God for their own reasons and motives. Very nice head capture showing a tremendous amount of details of his face. For the most part I think many who attend a service regularly and love keeping traditions for many years come to God because they simply want to know Him and in turn that makes their lives better. I hope you understand what I am trying to say. Good work Izzet!

zor ışık koşullarında etkileyici bir kapalı mekan çekimi... yüzdeki ifadedeyi da çok iyi yansıtmışsınız, ayinde gibi hissettim bakarken bile... elinize sağlık...

iyi bir hafta dileklerimle

Merhaba Izzet.

Tell me if I am wrong, you postprocessed the man and his face because of it was too dark, isn't it?
Maybe I am wrong, but I like very much the photo.

Regards.

Hi İzzet bey,
