Hallgrķmskirkja
In front of Reykjavik's Hallgrķmskirkja, is the most impressive statue of Leif Eriksson. He look to the west to the Ocean.

The statue which was donated to the Icelandic nation by the US Congress in 1930 to commemorate the millennium of the Alžingi (parliament).

Leif Ericson (Old Norse: Leifr Eirķksson)[1] (c. 970 – c. 1020) was a Norse explorer and the first European thought to have landed in North America—more specifically, the region that would become Newfoundland and, by later extension, Canada. It is believed that Leif was born about 970 in Iceland, the son of Erik the Red (Old Norse: Eirķkr inn rauši).

I had some fun processing this picture using the following technics:
- HDR with one picture to increase the effect
- ShiftN to straigten the vertical lines
- MS Digital Imaging for other small improvements
