Melnik, a Greek thriving town in the period of Turkish occupation, is a small village today. After the 2nd Balkan War (1913) there was a mutual migration and its inhabitants left for Greece. Some of the buildings they built remained and are been restored now. Now Melnik is a well-known tourist destination, due to its remarkable environment, climate and architecture.

Yes, this architecture is so typical for our Balkan area.
This place has a dramatic beauty and your shot has conveyed it.I also enjoy the play of light and shadows shown in your photo.
Oddly enough, this very shot reminds of a bit of Meteora.
Yes, cultures mutually influence one another, but it makes them interesting.

Θεολόγε καλημέρα,
το Melnik φαίνεται πολύ γραφικό και εαν δεν έγραφες από που είναι θα νόμιζε κανείς ότι ευρίσκεται στην Ελλάδα.Είναι φυσικό άλλοστε, γειτονικές χώρες να έχουν την ίδια αρχιτεκτονική και μάλιστα εφ'όσον έπί Τουρκοκρατίας δεν υπήρχαν σύννορα.Η αντιλιά αυτή δεν σε βοήθησε να αποθοθούν τα χρώματα όπως ακριβώς είναι.
