Sajjangarh is about 7kms from the main Udaipur city, This is a small hillock which is the host for this castle. The road which leads to the hill top is very narrow and you need to be a good driver to negotiate the curves. The best time to go here is the evening just before sunset and be there for the sunset. From the western side of the fort you get the view of the Aravalli mountain range, and to the east you can see the udaipur city, the lake palace etc., The Castle itself is in ruins, they have made a desperate attempt to change this to a wildlife museum but does not do any good (The hill is part of a wildlife sanctuary).

The castle is also rented out for wedding parties etc., It surely is a place to visit if you go to Udaipur and also one of the better tourist destinations of udaipur.
